How To Livestream Short Story Fest

You can livestream Short Story Fest from any desktop computer or mobile device. All sessions are live unless otherwise noted. Some sessions may be simulcast on YouTube.

Getting Started

To attend a session at Short Story Fest, you will need to register. Go to the festival schedule and click the REGISTER link for each session you want to attend. After you register, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from ZOOM with instructions on how to join your session on the day of the festival.

Preparing for a Workshop Session

If you registered for a workshop session, you will receive an email from Short Story Book Club with a link to the workbooks and reading materials (if any) that you will need for your class. Please review these items if possible before your session begins.

Joining a Session

On the day of the festival, use the instructions you received by email from ZOOM to join your session. If possible, try to log on a few minutes early to ensure your audio and video are working properly. We recommend that you use noise reducing headphones for the best audio quality.

Participating in a Session

During each session, you may leave questions for your instructors and the performers in the ZOOM chat. However, some presenters may allow questions directly from the audience.

After a Session

You will need to ensure you are present and online for each session you register for because, while all sessions will be recorded, not all recordings will be available after the festival. Be sure to sign up for festival updates and news related to Short Story Fest presenters and upcoming events to be sure you don’t miss important information.
